6th September 2018: New Saints Boxing Club is a not for profit organisation that promotes fitness and wellbeing in St. Neots and the surrounding area. It is run solely by volunteers who share the same passion – to share the values of wellbeing, discipline and respect through boxing and teach the benefits of being active, respect for yourself and others, social responsibility and offering a sense of belonging.
Alongside the dedication of the volunteers, the club also need sponsorships to provide cash injections for essential equipment, such as gloves, pads and matting. GESS has a history of sponsoring local sports clubs and organisations that promote the health and safety of children and young adults, so to sponsor New Saints Boxing Club was an easy decision.
“Without volunteers, sponsorships and donations we wouldn’t have a boxing club” said Kev Bollus England Boxing Level 2 Head Amateur Boxing Coach and Club Chairman. “Our main aim is to teach children wellbeing, discipline and respect. Boxing is not only amazing for fitness, but also is proven to help mindfulness and help health issues. When we can focus on that, we know we are really making a difference to young people’s lives in the local community.”
